About us

hgh Consulting is an independent consultancy that guides our clients, both public and private sector, through the complexities of the UK planning system. Originally established in 2015, we’re now an employee-owned trust and one of the leading planning consultancies based in London with coverage across the UK.

We prepare land use strategies for both landowners and local authorities undertaking area-wide and land portfolio reviews to assess and identify sites with the greatest development potential. We also advise on deliverability, value optimisation and sustainability.

We promote the allocation of sites through the local development plan process for a range of uses, including residential, commercial and industrial.

We undertake planning appraisals and due diligence to provide our clients with an assessment of the planning prospects for development, including risks and strategy for mitigation, and to advise on the optimum planning strategy to take proposals forward.

We coordinate, prepare and submit all forms of planning applications, s106 negotiations and the discharge of planning obligations.

We cover all aspects of the planning appeal process and act as expert planning witnesses at public inquiries and hearings.

We act as expert witnesses for public inquiries, hearings; Local Plan and Neighbourhood Plan examinations; property-related court litigation and mediation; and Compulsory Purchase cases in the Lands Chamber.

We have significant expertise in the management and coordination of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) in support of planning applications.
